Drawing on Life speaks to the keen observation and thorough research that is integral to BPMI coursework. Often drawing from direct observation, students unravel details about how form fits function, macro-micro relationships, light and color qualities, surface properties, and more to visualize, translate, and make a subject meaningful through their artwork. To do so, students imbue a sense of inquiry and wonder; it’s amazing what is learned through this intense looking and study—a true labor of love that brings science to life!
